This is a normal fluid phenomenon. The reason is that when the pump is transferring liquid, the pump outlet pipe faces downward and has a certain gravity. When the pump stops rotating, the liquid will flow down slowly due to its own ductility and gravitational force, and the result will be dripping at the hose mouth until the liquid in the hose drips completely. At this time, some people would think that since the liquid is dripping with gravity, what should be done if a siphon phenomenon occurs? In fact, don’t worry. I believe everyone is familiar with the working principle of a peristaltic pump. The pump relies on rollers to squeeze the hose (the inlet produces negative pressure and the outlet produces positive pressure), and the pressure difference is used for transmission. Even when the rotation is stopped, the hose is tightly squeezed, so that the inlet and outlet are disconnected to avoid this phenomenon.

Solution to the dripping phenomenon

I mentioned the reasons why the liquid drips in the hose. One of them is the elastic tension of the hose. The reason why the liquid drips is that the tension of the hose is less than the ductility and gravity of the liquid itself. If we expand this elastic tension to make it larger than the downward force on the liquid, it is enough to change this phenomenon.
1. The diameter of the hose outlet is reduced, the liquid in the tube becomes smaller, but the elasticity does not change, thus solving the problem.

2. Increase the pressure valve and set a one-way pressure valve at the outlet. The valve will be opened by the pressure of the pump itself when it is working, and the valve will naturally close when it stops.
